BINH THANH WEDDING VENUE

STD Design Consultant has completed a concept of a wedding & convention center in Binh Thanh, Hochiminh City, Vietnam full of greenery connected to a curving facade that spreads out like water in the name of Aqua. “We started designing the wedding venue plentiful with love for plants that the owner deeply expressed”. One of the most limiting factors of any project is the budget. Small budgets require architects to be more creative to ensure construction quality. These economy wedding venues require minimal financial investment and can help low-income people in Ho Chi Minh City save a lot of money on their wedding venue budget. Even if your venue consumes a significant portion of your overall wedding budget, you don’t want to end up spending all of it. Therefore, this place is one such venue. So we came up with the concept of how to upgrade buildings rather than tear them down and rebuild them. All the structural details of the building are preserved and stabilized before being wrapped with a building façade made from re-used composite materials. Reusing existing buildings also reduces the need to dispose of materials that might otherwise be sent to landfills. Even if it’s more than a decade old, it can be saved and reinvented. There is no point in demolishing the building. Utilize everything that can be used in the original. Driven by a rhythmic and dreamy idea, we keep the building as is, then supplemented it with a curved facades. Its curvaceous volume visually reduces the house’s rather massive size and allows it to blend seamlessly into its green context. Natural, environmentally friendly materials and sustainable buildings are key elements of the project. Ventilated composite facades system consists of 100% reusable components from newly painted composite materials. This demonstrates how composite facades panels can be effectively re-used and shaped in innovative ways. The curvaceous shape with light green tones on the outside creates perfect harmony with the surrounding natural environment and the pool outside. “We envision this place as a balance between the concepts of Aqua and Jardin”. The entire building is painted light green, making it stand out from the surrounding houses. For those living in a mostly concrete urban landscape, filling your building with greenery can improve your mood and reduce stress. This building is located in one of the hottest regions of southern Vietnam and we know how important natural ventilation and shade are when planning for hot climates. Trees are planted throughout the building to regulate the temperature and bring visitors closer to nature.

For the interior design of the ballroom ceiling, we decided to use recycled wooden pallets. Currently, Vietnam ranks fourth in the world in marine debris pollution, especially plastic waste, the amount of solid waste and household waste generated in 28 coastal provinces of Vietnam is about 14.03 million tons/year (about 38,500 tons/day).Solid waste pollution is a worldwide problem. Especially in developing countries with high urbanization rates like Vietnam. The wood pallet is a form of eco-friendly material that is manufactured using waste materials from different industries, and requires less amount of energy for production. Compared to concrete, it produces less carbon dioxide and is considered cheap and more durable. The ecology can benefit greatly from the recycling of wooden pallets. This has the potential to save millions of trees annually, and recycling programs in the wooden pallet sector significantly lower the demand for trees. This recycling initiative has had a substantial environmental impact  Pallets can still be recycled and used again as much if they are not able to be utilized as another wooden pallet. This implies that even damaged pallets can still be valuable to the recycling sector, increasing the benefits that recycling wooden pallets has for the environment. Ongoing recycling efforts are important to protect the environment and keep this place operating sustainably.
